GHRG GI 2nd Annual Meeting Ethiopia - March 2025

The second GHRG-GI Annual Scientific Conference was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in March 2025. The conference brought together research partners from participating countries, Kenya, Malawi, Ethiopia, United States and the United Kingdom. The focus was on the master’s students and the results coming out of our research programme to enhance health outcomes related to childhood diarrhea in Eastern and Southern sub-Saharan Africa. The conference gave feedback on the student presentations and analysis of the research they undertook within the consortium.

 

With the aim of facilitating the introduction and evaluation of vaccines against diarrheal diseases, our research revolves around three main sub-themes: estimating the burden of vaccine-preventable diarrheal diseases, predicting the clinical impact and cost-effectiveness of vaccination, and collaborating with policymakers to inform vaccine introduction and evaluation.
